Ang unang tikim ko nito ay nang ako ay nasa Mega Mall mga year 2006..at ang sabi ko ay parang Tempura lang ,may ganitong luto sa Japan..usually kinakain ito ,kasama ng Soba at udon noodles..

Ang nakikita kong kwek-kwek ay balot na balot ng batter ,gusto ko yung medyo thin layer lang ang crumbs nya ,hindi puro flour ang makakain mo..so i made my own kwek kwek at home.
Yun nga,ang pag gawa ng batter mixture ay may kanya kanyang panlasa ,kung gusto ng crispy or pa chewy..balot ng arina or manipis lang..
Pag gawa ng batter ay sariling diskarte lang..
May gumagamit ng arina lang .cornstarch o potato starch at usually may atsuete na pang kulay, para siya pumula at may gumagamit ng food coloring ,iyan ang identity ng kwek-kwek mapula na ma orange orange
nasubukan ko ng gumawa ng egg tempura at karaage ..at masarap den sya..
karaage boiled egg sangkap ..arina at cornstarch mixed ,,ginger juice,asin,paminta,cold water ..kaunteng toyo ,garlic powder,,or adding raw egg is an optional.. |
nakagawa na ren ako ng boiled egg okoy ..mas masarap den sya..at may sawsawan na sukang maanghang..

Lahat natry ko na kung alin ang masarap at bagay sa kwek-kwek na batter mixture..
narito ang sangkap na ginamit ko..
Ingredients..
10 boiled eggs.binalatan at pinunasan ,binudburan ng arina o gawgaw
2 cups plain flour or cornstarch or use them both
or maybe you can use 1 cup flour 1/2 cup cornstarch 1/2 cup glutinous rice flour ..
1 tsp baking powder
salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp of atsuete powder or add more to gives a brighter orange color
1 cup cold water or adjust as it needed
enough Cooking oil for frying the boiled eggs
you can mix it with one raw egg ..beaten in a little amount of cold water...it can be optional
Sawsawan,,
paghaluin lang ang
2 tbsp na suka,1/2 tbsp na patis,1tbsp na toyo,paminta,siling hiniwa or papulbos,1/2 tbsp na asukal...hiniwang bawang at hiniwang sibuyas...or gumawa ng sariling timplang sawsawan .
Pagtitimpla ng batter..
Pag haluhaluin lang ang mga sangkap ,haluin at dito ilulublob ang boiled egg.
at pagkatapos iluluto sa lubog na mantika...if wanted a crunchy breaded kwek-kwek..double the deep frying ,,and drain in a kitchen paper to lessen oil then serve ,and eat in hot spicy dip sauce ..enjoy..
