Cold Ube BILO BILO sa Gata at Sago

Nakasanayan nating mga Pinoy na ang Bilo bilo ay kalimitang mas masarap kainin ng mainit , kung may natira masarap den naman itong kaining malamig..
Sa panahon ng tag init or gusto mo ng medyo kakaibang timpla ng bilo bilo ,yung tipong refreshing..
Today i made a recipe of Cold Bilo Bilo na pinalamig sa yelo...

INGREDIENTS/Mga Sangkap

1 cup Glutinous Rice Flour/Malagkit na pulbos bigas
1/2 Coconut Milk/adjust as it needed
pinch salt /kapatak na asin
1 cup mashed ube /ube na kamote or ube yam..using food color is depends on you

PARA SA SABAW na GATA /Cold coconut milk 

1 cup Panutsa /Muscovado Sugar
Vanilla essence
Pandan leaf/1sang dahon /tinali ng pa ribbon or use pandan essence
Cooked Tapioca Pearl/size is up to you
Sweet Jack Fruit /Langka ,mangga or Macapuno na minatamis for toppings

PAGHAHANDA at PAGLULUTO..

1..Sa isang bowl paghaluin ang pulbos na bigas at gata ,with pinch of salt haluin at ihalo ang ube na dinurog...paghaluin itong mabuti hanggang makabuo ng dough...adjust liquid if it's dry or sticky .. add more gata if needed.. or add some rice flour to adjust ..




2.Then ready to form a bilo bilo balls ...use your clean hands to form a bite size balls ..






3..Next mag pakulo ng tubig sa isang kasirola. ihulog isa isa ang ube bilo bilo..Kapag ito ay lumutang , ibig sabihin ito ay luto na...

Hanguin at salaain , ibadbad ng bahagya sa malamig na tubig na may yelo..set aside.

4.. Kung Mayroon kayong Niyog o sariwang Gata na hindi processed ,mas masarap ang sariwang Gata na bagong Piga..

Dahil walang Fresh na Gata, Paiinitan ko ng bahaga ang Coconut milk sa isang lutuan , at lagyan ng asukal o panutsa according sa inyong lasa...timplahan ng pandan o vanilla essence..
then tikman at kung okay na...remove from the heat..palamigin ito..


5..Kapag lumamig na ang gata ilagay sa gustong lalagyan..salain ang bilo bilo at ihalo sa gata..
kainin ito ng may yelo(ice) or palamigin sa ref..bago ienjoy..

Chocolate Palitaw Recipe

Palitaw na chocolate ang lasa na may chocolate den sa loob..mukhang masarap di ba?
kase ako personally sarap na sarap dito, many times ko na itong niluluto kase addictive..

Sounds not common ? do you know in Japan it is common usually you can see them in many store
especially in Valentines Day..i love this sweet food but it's not Palitaw . it is MOCHI CHOCO ..
honestly i'm not a Mochi lover or but because of this, i crave a lot on Valentines day only..
and know what, it has chocolate stuffed too ,that's why it's very special and yummy..

I decided to make it in our Filipino Kakanin version ,which is bilo bilo or Palitaw 

Now you can imagine , that it is very easy to cook .right?










INGREDIENTS..




136 grams of GLUTINOUS RICE FLOUR 
6 tbsp coconut Milk
1 tbsp warm water 
4 tbsp COCOA POWDER/ you can use sweetened cocoa
and any Chocolate Candies for stuffing /i used TRUFFLES


Let's Start cooking
The PROCEDURE 

1..First is you need a mixing bowl..Combine glutinous rice flour and Cocoa..stir until well combined..

2..Pour 6 tbsp coconut milk and 1 tbsp warm water..mix until thickens and form like a dough 
adjust liquid if needed..not too sticky but not too dry..then massage it with your clean hands .

3..Get ready for your filling,cut into small size,big filling might run out while we boil the palitaw and of course , get ready your boiling water

4..then we 're going to make a palitaw ball..with a clean hands..grab one tbs scoop of the dough 
make a round shaped using your palm and flattened to fill the chocolate .and seal it to cover the filling and slowly roll it it again in your palm to form a ball ..and continue the method..

And carefully press the palitaw balls a bit , we don't want our palitaw to be like like bilo bilo..

5..Now if boiling water is ready, drop carefully the Palitaw Choco one by one 
once you see them floats ,it's a sign that their are cooked ..
remove it and place in a dish with grated coconut..

6..and now merienda is done, eat warm or cool completely ..
serve with muscovado sugar or anything you like to sprinkle ..
because of the chocolate filling , i think you don't need anything ..just a cup of warm tea is enough..

Kalamay Balls...or Pinoy DANGO

it pronounced dang-go
Ang dan-go or odango ay isang kakaning lutong japanese..gawa ito sa malagkit na korteng bilog bilog..
usually nakatuhog ito sa barbecue stick...

ang odango ay may tatlong kulay puti pink at berde..green tea ,puting asukal at pink na symbolized for sakura flower..

Sinubukan ko itong gawen sa timpla ng pinoy...
ang japanese odango ay niluto lang sa tubig at asukal na may food color,,ewan kung natural color ang ginagamit nila..
anyway,this is my version....

INGREDIENTS....
2 cups glutinous rice flour
1 cup wash sugar
1 cup coconut milk..use as it needed
pinch salt

For food coloring..i used natural coloring,,,like UBe ,Kalabasa ,Pandan ,red berries
Mashed and blended in a mixer

Maghanda ng apat na maliit na bowl ,idivide nyo ang malagkit at lagyan ng tig isang tbsp na ube kalabasa
pandan ( ginayat o guntingin ng maliliit ang dahon ng pandan at durugin sa blender at salain )
at pink na red berries..at bumilog

at gumawa ng dough gamit ang coconut milk...ibuhos unti unti sa rice flour ang gata kasama ng sugar at mga pangkulay..at bumilog sa palad ng bilo bilo ..one bite size
Para lang kayong bumibilog ng bilo bilo o palitaw...
then steaming process lang sya...

sa isang plato pahiran ng oil at ipatong ang mga odango o bilo bilo..
then iisteam ito ng mga 15 to 20 minutes..

maaring tuhugin sa barbecue stick bago iisteam.
or hayaan ng bilog bilog lang...




Maaring kainin ng may latik or toasted coconut...

Simple Karyoka

Ang Karyoka..
    Gawa sa malagkit na bigas ,bigas na pulbos na hinaluan ng tubig para mabuo..binibilog bilog sa palad para magkorteng bilo bilo..na siyang hinahalo den sa ginataang halo halo o ginagawang palitaw.

   Simpleng meryenda,at madaling lutuin ,dahil nga ito ay simple lang sa sangkap..
Ang Karyoka ay parang isang Fried palitaw  imbes na ilublob sa kumukulong tubig para maging palitaw,ay ihuhulog ito sa mainit na mantika at bubuhusan ng caramelized sugar....iyan ang KARYOKA.

Binilog at pinalamanan sa loob ng coco jam..binudburan ng linga..

Sangkap..
Glutinous Rice flour at kaunting tubig..(make a dough)
Cooking Oil for frying
Caramelized Coco jam or muscovado sugar..
barbeque stick
sesame seed/optional

Pagluluto..


 Tunawin ang panutsa or muscovado sugar sa tubig ,(Gagawa dito ng glaze /caramel )


Ang rice dough ay ihanda at at humulma ng bilog bilog na korte..one bite size na bilo bilo..
tuhugin ng stick kung gusto ng nakatuhog or kahit wala...



Ihanda ang mantika para lutuin ang mga tinuhog na bilo bilo..


At kapag luto na ..buhusan  ito ng ginawang glaze.


Maaring gumawa ng medyo malaking bilog na parang butse size at palamanan ng coco jam at budburan ng linga..yummy..iprito ren ito..



THEN ENJOY...madali lang diba!...inum marami tubig ha..lol +.+
