Gawa Tayo ng Japanese KATSUDON

Japanese Rice topping meal or Rice bowl with toppings

   Ang katsudon ay kilala na ren sa ating lugar,bagamat, hindi ko pa ito natitikman ,kung ano ang timpla.
Ngunit ang lasa nito sa Japan ay manamis namis na medyo masoy sauce , kahit sino maaring magustuhan ito.

   Kaya nga lang,bago makagawa ng Katsudon,kailangan nating gumawa ng Tonkatsu..
kaya ang paggawa ng katsudon ay medyo mabusisi,sa ibang gusto ng short cut recipe nito,may bumibili ng luto ng tonkatsu at pati sauce may ready na reng nabibili,instant na lahat lol,at saka gagawa ng katsudon..

   Yung mga tinatamad naman ,bumibili na lang ng luto ,dahil nagkalat nga dito ang mga ready to eat food..o kaya ay kumakain na lang sa restaurant...yaii..+.=..mas easy he he he..







Para masaya gawa na lang tayo ng homemade Katsudon..

Mga Sangkap..for making TONKATSU

Sliced Pork Belly 2 piraso
1 egg for tonkatsu
Bread crumbs
Plain Flour
salt and black pepper
Cooking oil for dip frying



tusukin ng tinidor ang meat at gilitan ng kaunti , budburan ng asin at paminta..iwasan na basa ang pork meat..


igulong sa arina at sa binating itlog,make it 2 times..


then tabunan bread crumbs ang  meat..at lutuin sa mainit na mantika..



KATSUDON ingredients...

1/4 cup soy sauce /kikoman...
1/4 cup mirin/sweet rice wine
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp dashi  /fish stock
1 tbsp brown sugar
sliced white onion..medium size
green peas/garnish

Let's arrange in Pinoy version..
1/4 cup ordinary soy sauce.
2 tbsp light vinegar
1 cubes of chicken broth
2 tbsp brown sugar
sliced onion ,don't use red onion
green peas,,for garnish/optional




 Paghaluin ang mga sangkap maliban sa sibuyas,itlog at green peas..

1/4 cup kikoman soy sauce,1/4 cup mirin.1 tbsp fish stock.1 tbsp sugar,1/4 cup water
Ilagay sa isang kawaling maliit na paglulutuan..kawali na maaring magkasya ang sukat ng paglalagyan ng katsudon, at ang kawali ay siguraduhin na magkakasya ang katsudon sa bowl.


Pakuluan sa mahinang apoy ang sauce at ihulog ang hiniwang sibuyas..
Ipatong ang hiniwang TONKATSU...
Ibuhos ang 2 binating itlog sa ibabaw ng niluluto..at lagyan ng ilang grean peas..
takpan at lutuin sa pinakamahinang apoy,hayaang medyo mabuo ang itlog,ingatang di masunog ang ilalim..





 Maghanda ng bowl na may mainit na kanin at ipatong ang nilutong KATSUDON..

Gawa Tayo ng Japanese FRIED CHICKEN ( KARAGE)

   Simple lang ang pagluluto ng Japanese fried chicken,masarap ito at magugustuhan ng mga kababayan natin..mga bata sa Japan paborito ito, ginagawa den itong pulutan , nilalagay sa obento .Makikita ito sa mga convenience store at kahit saang restaurant..syempre isa sa popular na pagkain dito sa Japan..


INGREDIENts...

300 g.Chicken Thigh..cut into 2 bite pieces
1 tbsp ginger juice
1 whole egg
1 cup plain flour
salt and black pepper
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp mirin( Sweet rice wine)/optional
1/2 cup cold water
cooking oil for fry

Paghahanda..

Ibabad ang hiniwang manok
ilagay ang ginger juice,toyo,paminta,mirin at iset aside muna..




Sa bukod na lalagyan ,batihin ang itlog at ilagay ang half cup cold water..
haluin mabuti..timplahan ng kaunting asin.
At ihanda ang 1 cup na flour at isama dito ang binating itlog sa tubig..




Kapag ready na ang batter, ihanda ang marinated chicken..alisin ang liquid sa manok
at ilublob sa arina mixture para mabalot ang manok..at ready for frying..



 sa mainit na mantika ,lutuing lubog ang manok ..



and enjoy.................
eat with sour sauce ,soy sauce or squeeze with lemon..

Stuffed Green Bell Pepper (SIOMAI Style)

yummy appetizer..



Mga Sangkap ..family servings..4 to 5 

5 pieces green bell pepper or add more
200 grams ground pork or chicken
1/4 cup shredded carrots
1/4 cup shredded onion
1 whole egg/optional
1 tbsp cornstarch or flour
black pepper and salt to taste
1 tsp ginger paste or juice
2 tsp oyster sauce
1 tsp mirin /optional
1 tsp sugar
a drop of sesame oil
1 shiitake /minced..mushroom/optional
a little chopped green onion
a little soy sauce..

COMBINE ALL THE INGREDIENTS except the bell pepper..

PagLuluto ng Japanese GYUDON

How to cook Japanese GYUDON..called beef bowl
GYU is beef
DON - means Donburi or bowl...
Dish on top of the rice

so we called it Dish over Rice or Rice Toppings Meal



One of Japanese popular recipe...

Ingredients ..serving of 2

300 g. Beef Sliced soft meat if possible.
1/2 cup water
konyaku noodles/optional if there's no available
1/2 cup kikoman soy sauce
1 large sliced onion/ don't use red onion
1/2 cup mirin/sweet rice wine
3 to 4 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp fish powder/DASHI powder
sesame oil

Continue cooking...

1.First combine 1/2 cup soy sauce and 1/2 cup mirin..set aside
2. sprinkle the sliced beef with black pepper ..
3.then saute the beef in small amount of sesame oil,then add the onion ,the konyaku noodles..
4.add sugar ,4 tbsp or adjust according to your taste..
5.add half cup of water
6.cover and cook until its done,don't dry it leave some amount of sauce in it..
7.then adjust seasoning..

Then ready for rice bowl and put the cooked beef on top of rice ,garnish with green onion or red pickled ginger some japanese adding raw egg in the middle of beef toppings...

soy sauce and mirin 

this is a root crop ..called shirataki or konyaku..it has rubbery texture,chewy like gumi ,no taste but good when mix in variety of recipe.

this is a dashii ,a tiny bits /powdered  form of fish broth..



 Slightly saute the beef in sesame oil then add the sliced onion..the konyaku noodles ,the sauce,water and bring a boil to cook..


here they are,if you leave them an hour
or more, the better taste you can enjoy .



Enjoy this with miso soup and salad green..(A typical Japanese meal style),and hot green tea..while others like drinking beer ,lol
